Welcome to Dordt is an initiative of residents of Dordrecht, local (volunteer) organizations, and volunteers from Dordrecht. Together, we hope to ensure that newcomers in our city can participate more quickly.

Being able to participate is not only beneficial for the newcomers themselves, but also for society. We urgently need extra people in all kinds of professions, and extra hands are always welcome at volunteer organizations as well. Being able to participate sooner means being able to contribute sooner. Whether you do so as a paid employee, a volunteer, or a right winger in football: we believe that we can put your talents to good use in our Dordrecht team!

Our coordinator at the asylum seekers’ center (AZC) actively looks for people who are a good fit for your organization. Newcomers from the city can also respond. If you are looking for people for a paid position, we would be happy to put you in touch with our colleagues at Randstad!

Participate as a volunteer?
Would you like to participate as a volunteer with Welcome to Dordt? For example, by helping at the Dordt desk at the AZC, supporting language or cycling lessons, being a participation coach for someone who has just arrived in the Netherlands, or by organizing activities? Please let us know! On the website samendordt.nl/welkomindordt you will find our regular volunteer vacancies, but your own ideas are also welcome!
